Karen’s professional career has spanned both education and healthcare.
Recently retired after 15 years as a K-5 reading interventionist in the West Hartford, CT school district, Karen’s previous career included practicing as a pharmacist in both retail and hospital settings.
As a certified Master Gardener, Karen is a weekly volunteer at Elm Bank and is a member of the Natick Garden Club. In her leisure time, she enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with her new granddaughter.
Currently residing in South Natick with her husband Jack, two dogs, and one cat, Karen relocated from Avon, CT to be closer to her daughter, who lives with her family in Wellesley. She also has a son who resides in Brooklyn, NY.
Karen’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Pharmacy at the Medical University of South Carolina. She also holds a Master of Education degree from the University of St. Joseph in West Hartford, CT.
