LET THE SUN SHINE IN!
When the Bacon Library was built, the second floor flooded the interior space of the library with light. But the light has been dimmed.
We would like to let the sun shine in!
Chapter 1
GREEN & COMFORTABLE
The first step will be replacing the antiquated and failing
gas-fired heating and the awkward and inefficient cooling systems with a single, safe, comfortable, and efficient heat pump system.
You can see how the attic space is swallowed up by the HVAC system.
Once the HVAC systems have been removed, we can open up the ceiling again to expose the clerestory windows, and have the building breath and function as intended.
